The orthodontic arch wire applies pressure on the teeth to induce them to move into a designated position. It is usually used in conjunction with braces, and by adjusting the tension and direction of the orthodontic wire, it can effectively improve the alignment of the teeth and bite problems.
Orthodontic arch wires apply a light continuous tension upon the supporting and anchoring points in the teeth. These teeth will move subtly, yet gradually over an extended period of time, shift into desired positions. The result of orthodontic treatment is the alignment of teeth, symmetrical dental arches, and a reduction in the thinness between the teeth, which changes the facial contour, making it more harmonious and aesthetically pleasing. Orthodontic arch wires straighten teeth and improve the ability to chew with a better bite.
Orthodontic Arch Wire Category

Based on material composition, our orthodontic archwires can be classified as either stainless steel wires and NiTi wires. While stainless steel arch wire is cheap and has good abrasion and corrosion resistance and is stability for long in the oral cavity, hardness is high, not as comfortable as NiTi wires, and low on elasticity. NiTi arch wire is super elastic and has a shape memory function. It is more flexible, enabling it to fit better onto the tooth surface, thus making it more comfortable but at a higher price.
