Precautions for using dental mixing tips
- Avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight when storing. The TPE material of the sealing ring and the PP material of the pipe body will accelerate aging in direct sunlight and high-temperature environments, affecting their performance. It is recommended to store in a light-proof and dry storage cabinet. The unopened shelf life of the mixing tip is two years. It is recommended to use it up within one month after opening.
- Pay attention to the locking of the clips when installing. When the dental mixing tip is attached to the syringe, gently push it until a “click” sound is heard. This indicates that the sealing ring is completely locked with the syringe and there will be no leakage.
- The dental mixing tips in clinical practice are all disposable and cannot be reused. Only in this way can the performance and hygiene safety of the mixed materials be guaranteed. Reusing it cannot ensure that the residual materials on the inner wall are thoroughly cleaned, which affects the uniformity of material mixing. It may also cause the performance of the mixed materials to fail to meet the standards due to the addition of other materials.
- When removing it after use, do not use brute force to avoid damaging the syringe. If the lock is stuck and cannot be removed, you can use scissors to cut open the opening of the mixing tip and then pull it out. Since the mixing tip is supposed to be discarded after use, it doesn’t matter if it is cut. This can keep the syringe intact.
