Hemostasis : Cotton rolls are localized haemostatic tool that are usually employed during dental procedures, especially when invasive procedures. The packing of a wound with a cotton roll effectively takes up any blood that would flow from the wound site and encourages further clot formation and cessation of bleeding.
Moisture absorption: During dental treatment, cotton rolls can absorb excess saliva or medicine remainders in the mouth, keeping the treatment area dry and clean.
Protective function: For some dental treatments, such as root canals, cotton rolls can protect the tooth and gums, reduced patient discomfort.

Dental cotton rolls and cotton tipped applicators are common tools used in cleaning, sterilizing, hemostasis, moisture absorption, and drug application in dental treatments; while also in use as cleaning agents, disinfecting agents, or applying medicine in daily family life.

These cotton rolls are usually made of grade soft absorbent cotton that does not irritate the mouth. According to treatment needs, you can select different lengths and diameters of cotton rolls.

A cotton tipped applicator is usually wooden or plastic stick with cotton wrapped around one end of the stick. Dental cotton tipped applicators are roughly the same size and length as regular cotton swabs but the cotton tips is much tighter, in order not to lose cotton fibers while being handled.
